In addition to metaphysics and music, I have a broad range of other interests and endeavours. Most of these are connected in some way to my primary vocations, while others are just passions, regardless. Links will be posted in this section as well, but for now, I'm just working on my own content.

WWII Aviation
Warbirds, as they're called now, continue to be restored and flown, but the role of their mission - and the pilots themselves - are on the way out. Not only are the actual veterans finishing their lifespan, the whole concept of what a fighter pilot is and does is all but extinct.
Long gone are the days of close air combat, flying by the seat of your pants...the modern knights or gladiators of the sky, predators at the very top of the strategic food chain. Now so called smart bombs, satellites and drones have replaced these warriors made legeneary in the First World War, and true heros of the Second World War, who, in the skies over Europe, the Mediterranean and the Pacific, ultimately decided the fate of the world.
As a former pilot, I gained an even greater respect for these heroes on all sides of the conflict, and, as a filmmaker, I hope to honor them by producing a much needed epic tale about their adventures - perhaps the greatest story never told...

IndyCar Racing
Yeah, I'm a open cockpit, open wheel guy when it comes to racing (sorry, my NASCAR friends). While top-level auto racing may seem pointless, expensive and self-indulgent, well, it perhaps it is, but I do enjoy the sights, sounds and heritage of America's own Indy 500, as well as the other races on the circuit. Driving is one of my favorite pasttimes, and this is the pinnacle of the sport in the U.S.
Many improvements in driver and track safety have made their way to our roads and highways, although I wish the drivers would do more public service announcements to help curb drunk driving and to help people become better, more considerate drivers. Face it, we all think we're Mario Andretti out there on the I-5, but that's just simply not true - we could all learn a lot from these driving professionals. |
INDYSOUP.com
...is a humor news and parody site where I poke fun at the drivers, teams, and journalists who cover the sport of IndyCar racing.
It is only because I really enjoy this sport that I am able to make fun of it - as a sort of flattery or reverence for those involved.
